John Steinbeck The Moon is Down

There is a reading book bin in my neighborhood so this was my pic last month. I have read Cannery Row and was surprised to see it was about a bunch of skid rows... from what i remember. The Moon is Down was a good read WW2 invasion... interesting.

We Got Power by David Markey & Jordan Schwartz

Old punks documenting what happened... here's another coffee table book chalked full of photos and essays by important scenesters of the southern California area. We Got Power was a fanzine that came out in the early eighties and the book ends with complete reprints of the fanzine. This happened in every big city.... the bands the fanzines and the punks. Like the many coffee table books before covering punk... this is a good one. Absolute Music -ricky
